Last Stop was New York

South Beach, Miami

If you're fat and ugly, you will certainly stick out like a sore thumb in South Beach. To say that everybody here is beautiful is not an overstatement. A predominantly Latin community, the people of SoBe are radiant and vital. And although this place is as busy as any city, it's not quite as daunting as say, New York or London (but we like NY + London as well!). We like SoBe because it has got the best of both worlds --- sophisticated culture of an entirely au courant cosmopolitan city combined with the chic laidback style of beach life.

Let me try to describe what it looks like. Imagine a stretch of beach with about 50 metres of sandy area to lounge around. Running parallel to the shoreline is a street dotted with art deco hotels and outdoor cafes teeming with beautiful people. That's the famous Ocean Drive, the street home to an endless parade of porsches, harleys, silicon boobies and implanted abs! It's artificial I know, but hey, it's less offensive than a pair of fat thighs that jiggle like jello!

Moving away from the beach and into the next road that still runs parallel is Collins Avenue where you will find more art deco hotels, designer shops and hip little boutiques (open till midnight!), and loads of restaurants. These shots were taken at the Tiffany Hotel where we usually stay. It's a really cool hotel designed by Todd Oldham.

Next road up is Washington Avenue where bar hopping has been elevated to an art form! Make sure you have an ID that says 21 on it. They could be really fussy with the age thing.

Getting into clubs is another story! Being 21 with a ready ID is no guarantee that you'll get past the bouncer.

There are clubs to suit every style and mood but our usual picks are Shadow Lounge, Groovejet and Living Room. These clubs have the best house music in SoBe and their DJ lineup occasionally includes top international DJs.

These photos were taken at Nikki's Beach Bar known for its chic Sunday afternoons and funky music. You have to queue to get in! Can you believe that??? And they even charge the men for cover, pretty girls of course get in for free. Nikki's is the place to shark for babes with a bit of class. Perfect place for chilling out after a Saturday all-nighter. They've even got hammocks and tents. We dubbed the tents as "Tear Her Up Tents" because we reckon that's what they're meant for!
